The magnetic field strength is measured using a Gaussmeter (magnetic flux density). Typically, Tesla or Gauss are used as the measurement units. A Gauss metre, for example, is used to measure the strength and direction of the magnetic field at a particular location in space and is mostly used to calculate the magnetization of magnetic materials like ferromagnets.
