Brannan 10/450/0 is the 0.60 to 0.65 g/ml range in the M50 SP density hydrometer series made to BS 718:1991. Reading 0.60–0.65 g/ml in 0.001 g/ml steps, this 270 mm hydrometer is adjusted at 15 °C. As an SP sub-series instrument, the 10/450/0 is made to a higher accuracy than the standard M50 series, with a stated accuracy of 0.001 g/ml. Suited to low surface tension liquids, the 10/450/0 comes from a sub-series widely used in the petroleum industry that corresponds to IP 160.
