Brannan 10/455/0 is the 0.85 to 0.90 g/ml range in the M50 SP density hydrometer series made to BS 718:1991. Reading 0.85–0.90 g/ml in 0.001 g/ml steps, this 270 mm hydrometer is adjusted at 15 °C. The 10/455/0 offers 0.001 g/ml accuracy, tighter than a standard M50 hydrometer, because it belongs to the SP sub-series. The 10/455/0 is intended for low surface tension liquids, and its sub-series corresponds to IP 160 for petroleum testing.
