Brannan's 10/895/0 reads specific gravity between 1.85 and 1.90 on the 60/60 °F scale and is part of the general purpose L50 series. Because its scale sits at 1.85–1.90, the 10/895/0 is aimed at liquids denser than water, comparing their relative density with water. The 10/895/0 is 335 mm long, divided in 0.0005 SG steps over a 0.050 SG span, and adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C). The 10/895/0 design is comparable to the hydrometers in ISO 650 and the withdrawn 1960 issue of British Standard 718.
