The Brannan 10/897/0 is a general purpose specific gravity hydrometer from the L50 series, graduated from 1.95 to 2.00 SG. With a band of 1.95 to 2.00, it is used for liquids denser than water, giving relative density against water. Adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C), the L50 model 10/897/0 measures 335 mm overall and spans 0.050 SG with 0.0005 SG divisions. The 10/897/0 design is comparable to the hydrometers in ISO 650 and the withdrawn 1960 issue of British Standard 718.
