Brannan's 10/942/0 reads specific gravity between 0.80 and 0.90 on the 60/60 °F scale and is part of the general purpose M100 series. It compares the relative density of a liquid with that of water, so this 0.80–0.90 model is intended for liquids lighter than water. Adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C), the M100 model 10/942/0 measures 250 mm overall and spans 0.100 SG with 0.002 SG divisions. Like the other M100 instruments, the 10/942/0 is similar to hydrometers in ISO 650 and in the now superseded 1960 issue of BS 718.
