Brannan's 10/950/0 reads specific gravity between 1.60 and 1.70 on the 60/60 °F scale and is part of the general purpose M100 series. With a band of 1.60 to 1.70, it is used for liquids denser than water, giving relative density against water. At 250 mm overall, the 10/950/0 carries 0.002 SG graduations across its 1.60–1.70 span and is adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C). Like the other M100 instruments, the 10/950/0 is similar to hydrometers in ISO 650 and in the now superseded 1960 issue of BS 718.
