Covering 0.65 to 0.70 SG, the Brannan 10/961/0 belongs to the M50 series of general purpose specific gravity hydrometers. It compares the relative density of a liquid with that of water, so this 0.65–0.70 model is intended for liquids lighter than water. The 10/961/0 is 270 mm long, divided in 0.001 SG steps over a 0.050 SG span, and adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C). The 10/961/0 follows the pattern of hydrometers in ISO 650 and the superseded 1960 edition of BS 718.
