With a -5 to +105 °C/°F range graduated in 1 °C / 2 °F steps, the Brannan 17/848/3 is the dual Celsius and Fahrenheit scale version of the heavy duty aluminium-cased pocket thermometer. In use, the 17/848/3 glass stays held in the cap while the case body is removed. Filled with Brannan blue LO-tox liquid instead of mercury, the 17/848/3 reads at total immersion.
