The DeFelsko PRBFTS is the PosiTector 6000 FTS probe, sold as the probe only, so a PosiTector gage body is required. It is a cabled high-range probe for thick protective coatings on steel, measuring coatings on steel and other ferrous metals over a 0–6 mm (0–250 mils) range. Coating inspectors and QC staff fit it to an existing Standard or Advanced body, since every PosiTector body accepts every probe.

- Suited to thick protective coatings such as epoxy, rubber, concrete liners and intumescent fireproofing

- Zirconia-toughened wear face and ruby tip for long life
- Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST or PTB; the probe stores its own calibration for full interchangeability
