The Dwyer 1950 Series is an explosion-proof differential pressure switch designed to withstand harsh environments. It combines the best features of the popular Dwyer Series 1900 Pressure Switch with an integral explosion-proof and weatherproof housing. This makes it an exceptional choice for a wide range of applications. The switch is CE, UL, and CSA listed, and FM approved for use in hazardous atmospheres, including Class I, Div 1, Groups C and D, Class II Groups E, F, and G, and Class III hazardous locations. It is also rated as raintight NEMA 3 (IP54), with weatherproof features such as a drain plug and O-ring seal in the cover. Electrical connections are easily made by removing the front cover, and the set point adjustment screw is conveniently located on the outside of the housing for ease of use. The series offers twelve models with set points ranging from .03 to 20 inches w.c. (water column) and from .5 to 50 psi (pounds per square inch). Despite its robust features, the unit is very light and compact, weighing about half the weight and bulk of other explosion-proof or weather-proof switches with separate enclosures.
