A portable surface roughness tester from Mitutoyo can measure almost any part of a workpiece of almost any size and run without the need for mains power. The 2.4-inch color graphic back-lit LCD offers a user-friendly display with outstanding readability. Keys on the front of the device and beneath the sliding cover are used to operate it. The internal memory can hold one measured profile and up to ten measurement conditions. Large amounts of observed surface profiles and setup settings can be stored on an extra memory card, which can be utilized as an expanded memory. Each feature's access can be restricted to avoid accidental use.
