Palmer Wahl 300 Series Classic Industrial thermometers have a 9 in (220 mm) extruded V-shaped brass case with chrome finish, built for long-term industrial process service. The red-reading lens glass tube is individually calibrated, annealed and aged. Mercury fill is standard, with red spirit optional to 300°F/150°C; only mercury-filled versions are suited to food processing. Straight stems are the only form now offered.

- Accuracy ±1/2 scale division (mercury) or ±1 division (red spirit)
- 1-1/4 in-18 UNEF machined brass swivel nut; stainless optional
- Tapered stainless bulb for contact with the thermowell
- Stems 3.5, 6, 8 or 12 in; 304 SS standard, 316 optional
- Ranges from 0-100°F to 200-400°F and -18-40°C to 10-205°C
Options include case drain holes, dual scale, engraved scale, one-piece stem/bulb for use with a union, plastic crystal and red spirit fill. Matches 1140 series thermowells. Mercury use is restricted in some locations.
