TC809S is the straight-tip version of Palmer Wahl's heavy duty Type K surface probe. Its spring-loaded miniature Z-tip points straight ahead and is enclosed in a ceramic housing, for surfaces such as ingots, furnaces, kilns, moulds and platens. The standard shank is 5 in; a 12 in version is sold as TC809S-12.
