The 1-1/4" thick acrylic plastic body is a sturdy, nearly indestructible, stable piece of plastic that is completely devoid of any chance of distortion.
The 3/16" BORES, ACCURATE TO ±.0002" are inherently straight and won't need to be re-calibrated due to distortion.
LEVEL GROUND GLASS BUBBLE It is 1-1/2" long by.375" in diameter, sensitive to 115–125 sec./2 MM, and has two red lines for simple alignment and visibility.
To obtain PARALLAX-FREE READING, which maximizes accuracy and consistency, just align the meniscus with the scale's polished aluminum reflection.
For ideal readability, SELECTED GAGE FLUID with good wetability properties creates a steady, well-shaped meniscus.
For simple zeroing, use the O-RING SEALED FLUID LEVEL PLUNGER ADJUSTMENT.
