Part No.: AVLV-2DB1

The Dwyer AVLV-2DB1 Air Velocity Transmitter is a duct-mount air velocity transmitter designed for direct integration into a building management system through BACnet MS/TP communication. It provides 2% accuracy across field-selectable velocity ranges of 100, 200, 300, or 400 FPM (0.5, 1, 1.5, or 2 m/s).

A NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure protects the electronics in mechanical rooms, plenum spaces, and other typical HVAC installation environments. The transmitter operates from 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C) and supports 5–95% RH non-condensing humidity.

The AVLV-2DB1 has a typical response time of approximately 4 seconds, or approximately 1 second at constant temperature, making it suitable for standard VAV and AHU control applications. It operates on 24 VDC or 24 VAC power with a maximum current consumption of 60 mA.

This variant is supplied without an onboard display. Air velocity readings are transmitted through the BACnet MS/TP connection and can be monitored through the connected BMS or controller.

The compact 6.0 oz body is designed for installation with a standard duct probe assembly. BTL and CE approvals support its use in BACnet building automation and general electrical applications.

The Dwyer range also includes the AVLV-2DB1-LCD, which adds a built-in 5-digit LCD for local measurement and commissioning. Contact GeneralTech Shop if you need help selecting the appropriate variant.

Who This Product Is Best For

The Dwyer AVLV-2DB1 is suitable for controls contractors, HVAC professionals, and BMS integrators who need a duct-mount air velocity transmitter with 2% accuracy and BACnet MS/TP communication.

It is particularly suited to VAV box and AHU airflow control, building automation systems, HVAC commissioning, and installations where measurements are monitored directly through a connected BMS rather than a local display.

How to Use

  1. Mount the AVLV-2DB1 in the duct according to standard probe insertion practices.
  2. Connect the required 24 VAC or 24 VDC power supply.
  3. Connect the BACnet MS/TP communication wiring to the compatible BMS or controller.
  4. Select the required velocity range: 100, 200, 300, or 400 FPM.
  5. Confirm that the transmitted air velocity signal is being received correctly by the connected BMS.
  6. Verify the measurement and communication during system commissioning.
