Dwyer Instruments PFT-HDN-S611-S | Paddlewheel flow sensor | Insertion style | pulse output | SS body | 1-1/2" NPT connection FKM seals | Tungsten-carbide shaft | PTFE bearings
Brass or 316 SS bodies are offered for the Model PFT-HDN-S611-S Insertion Paddlewheel Flowmeters, which are used to measure liquid flow rates in pipes ranging in size from 1-1/2 to 40". The device produces a 4–20 mA output or a frequency proportional pulsed output. The 4 to 20 mA variants feature a linear velocity output, with 4 mA equal to 0 ft/s and 20 mA equivalent to 25 ft/s. The pulse models provide a square wave output signal with frequency proportionate to the flow velocity.

- Long product life because of the superior wear protection provided by the bearings and shaft, even in situations with particulates.
- Use in submersible and weatherproof irrigation applications.
- Using a single unit that can be adjusted over a wide variety of pipe sizes can save time and inventory.
- Flexibility in application with an array of wetted material options.
- With an integrated 4–20 mA output, there is less need for extra peripheral components.
- Sensing technology eliminates issues about magnetic material in flow since it employs inductive sensing instead of magnets.
