The most precise and user-friendly air flow hood available today is the SMART AIR HOOD® (SAH) Balancing Instrument. Balancers may operate in crowded areas (such as restrooms, MRI machines, cubicles, tables, and chairs) and pass through doors more easily because to their low profile design. A single operator may balance a branch faster than typical balancing teams by utilizing the 12 foot hood pole that comes with the kit and wireless connections to a mobile device. In addition to being lighter than the majority of conventional capture hoods, the SAH's ergonomic design reduces the technician's energy output because it is a lighter, more balanced design. With Quad Flow Design Technology, the sturdy polypropylene base hood minimizes back pressure and regulates air flow for improved measurement accuracy. The user receives real-time input via the Wi-Fi protocol to their Android® or iOS® device, even if they may be up to 200 yards (183 m) from the hood. This eliminates the need for the technician to repeatedly climb their ladder in order to cut or open the dampers in order to balance the system.
