The Flexbar 14517 optical center punch is used to lay out drill hole patterns on scribed lines. The guide base is placed over the work and centred by sighting through a spotting lens; the optical pilot is then removed, a punch is inserted in its place and tapped with a hammer, leaving a mark ready for drilling.
