The E490 is a multifunctional, loop-powered indicator that can show the loop current, range, and actual process value. The E490 can be used with additional measurement units, such as %, mA, RPM, and even the ability to build a custom unit with a maximum of 8 characters, in addition to its emphasis on level, temperature, and pressure applications. It is easy to choose the measuring unit to be shown using an alpha-numerical configuration menu. The lighting circuit can be powered from the loop by the isolated input circuit. The E490 is capable of receiving 4 to 20mA input signals from a variety of process instruments, such as transmitters for temperature, pressure, level, and flow (square root or linear).
