The SE 740 optical oxygen sensor is the best option for basic industrial and hygienic applications because of its smooth polished surface and low maintenance requirements. Furthermore, the digital sensor is engineered to be completely independent of process flow. This optical oxygen sensor requires little upkeep. Just swap out the sensor cap. Both polarization and electrolyte replacement are not necessary. The maintenance downtime is substantially lower than with amperometric type sensors. This oxygen sensor satisfies FDA regulations thanks to its silicon membrane (tested by the USP and FDA) and surface finish of less than 0.4 µm.
