The Martindale MARBZ820-EV is a first-line tester for EV chargers with Type 2 connectors. It plugs straight into the charging point, checks L, N and PE wiring for 28 fault conditions and indicates high or low supply voltage. A four-position slider simulates CP states A (no vehicle), B (connected, not ready), C (ready to charge, used for testing) and E (CP failure, which should stop charging). LEDs on the plug show the CP state and whether single or three-phase supply is present.
