Mitutoyo 340-520 is a digital outside micrometer for 300 to 400 mm that uses four interchangeable anvils to cover its wide range. At this size the maximum permissible error is ±10 µm and the variation in length is 6 µm; a ratchet stop keeps the measuring force constant.
