Mitutoyo 340-522 is a digital outside micrometer for 500 to 600 mm that uses four interchangeable anvils to cover its wide range. At this size the maximum permissible error is ±12 µm and the variation in length is 8 µm; a ratchet stop keeps the measuring force constant.
