Mitutoyo 340-523 is a digital outside micrometer for 600 to 700 mm that uses four interchangeable anvils to cover its wide range. At this size the maximum permissible error is ±14 µm and the variation in length is 9 µm; a ratchet stop keeps the measuring force constant.
