Mitutoyo 340-524 is a digital outside micrometer for 700 to 800 mm that uses four interchangeable anvils to cover its wide range. At this size the maximum permissible error is ±15 µm and the variation in length is 10 µm; a ratchet stop keeps the measuring force constant.
