With 300 x 170 mm of XY travel over a 510 x 342 mm stage top, MF-J3017D adds a motor drive to the Z axis of the MF line. The MF-J3017D weighs 158 kg and a 3X objective lens is supplied with it as standard accessory.

- MF-J3017D indication accuracy at 20°C: (2.2+0.02L) µm in X and Y, (5+0.04L) µm in Z (L = measuring length in mm, unloaded, JIS B 7153)
- Glass area 370 x 240 mm within the 510 x 342 mm top, with up to 20 kg stage loading and workpieces to 220 mm high
- Remote box on MF-J3017D: speed adjustment, coarse/fine switching, jog shuttle, emergency stop, AF button and Z-axis limit setting
- X and Y axes on the MF-J3017D float and have a quick-release mechanism
- MF-J3017D uses ML-series objectives: 3X standard, with 1X, 5X, 10X, 20X, 50X and 100X as options
