Multiple stages of epicyclic gearing are used in Norbar's 'HandTorque' multipliers to provide a wide range of torque outputs and ratios to suit most applications. The torque multiplication ratio is always quoted, not the velocity ratio as some competitors' goods claim. For example, a velocity ratio of 29.8:1 would result in a torque multiplication of 25:14%.
