The Palmer Wahl WST-02B adds a bonnet to the ST2200 solder bead sensor design. The bonnet acts as a position stop, guiding the iron tip to the same spot for repeatable measurements and steadying it so movement does not cause temperature fluctuations. Inside is a high temperature Type K ribbon thermocouple with a stainless steel support strap and solder bead, set in a glass filled Teflon housing. The WST-02B is the sensor supplied with the ST2200.
