The Pi Tape P1SS covers outside diameters of 2–12 in, reading in inches to a stated tolerance of ±0.001 in, and is made from 716 stainless steel. It is used to measure the O.D. of round parts directly, giving consistent and repeatable results across the 2–12 in span. With a starting point of 2 in, the P1SS uses the standard 0.010 in (0.25 mm) material thickness.
