The SAUTER TI-D. (model TI-D) is a lever-operated test stand for Shore D hardness testing of plastics, leather and similar materials, with a test force of 50 N and a glass base plate. The durometer is not included and is fitted in a suspended position.
Pressing the lever releases the test weight so the measuring tip is pushed into the object by its own weight, which SAUTER states makes results about 25 % more accurate than manual operation.
