The AB3044 is the 4 in version of Snap-on's 1/4 in hex to 3/8 in square adaptor, with ball-detent retention. The longer 4 in body gives extra reach when a small 3/8 in socket is fitted to a 1/4 in hex driver. It also allows ratcheting screwdrivers to be used as ratcheting nutdrivers.
