On a 3.5" color LCD, the R2170 can show hot and cold spot temperatures, and the user can select from 7 different color schemes. Using the supplied software, a user can view, evaluate, and produce reports or projects on a PC in real-time. To enable ongoing work, the accompanying battery packs have been made to be easily changed in the field.
