Essential equipment used in many industries to monitor and control parameters in liquids and gases are pH, conductivity, and oxygen sensors. By measuring the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) in a solution, pH sensors determine how acidic or alkaline the solution is. The capacity of a solution to carry electrical current is measured by conductivity sensors. The concentration of ions, such as salts, acids, and bases, dissolved in the solution, affects this property. Oxygen sensors, sometimes referred to as dissolved oxygen sensors or DO sensors, are used to gauge the amount of dissolved oxygen present in liquids like process solutions or water. They measure the concentration of dissolved oxygen molecules in the solution, which is important for environmental factors and biological processes.
