Xgard Type 5 pairs a catalytic-bead flammable sensor with an on-board amplifier, giving a 3-wire 4-20 mA signal that can be set as current sink or source. It draws 50 mA at 24 V dc (1.2 W) from a 10-30 V dc supply and works from -40 to +55 °C. Aluminium and 316 stainless steel enclosures are available.
