Dakota T-304-0001 pairs a 1 MHz frequency with a 1/2 in probe diameter in a dual element thickness transducer, finished with a Microdot connector on the side. It uses standard damping. Dakota rates it to a maximum of 126°C (260°F).
Typical materials at this frequency: cast iron, plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene, and fibreglass. Two crystals separated by an acoustic barrier let one transmit and the other receive, for thickness readings from one side.
