The QH5 U is a portable metal hardness tester that uses the UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) method of operation. It is factory calibrated for steel, enabling for precise measurements in thin and light weight parts as well as massive parts with a virtually undetectable imprint. The original hardness unit for the QH5 U is HV (Vickers), with ASTM E140-compliant conversions to HB (Brinell), HRB (Rockwell B), HRC (Rockwell C), and HS (Hardness Scale) (Shore).
