Using a small, field-trimmable vane to sense the air flow rate, the Model DAFA Air Flow Indicator and Alarm notifies users when there is little or no air flow in pipes. When the air flow rate decreases, indicating low or no flow in the pipe, an 85 dB audio siren and a bright red LED alternate to inform consumers. The DAFA has a yellow LED to signal a low battery and is battery-powered, giving it installation flexibility. This gadget is perfect for keeping an eye on radon mitigation systems since it can identify when there is a decrease in air movement within the pipe and alert homeowners when the fan stops working.
