FEMA STW and STB safety strap-on thermostats are self-monitoring temperature monitors and limiters, for example in floor-heating systems. If the capillary leaks, the device reacts as if the set point were exceeded and switches to the safe state, such as stopping the circulation pump. Each unit ships with a strap for pipes up to 100 mm in diameter.
