Mitutoyo 340-521 is a digital outside micrometer for 400 to 500 mm that uses four interchangeable anvils to cover its wide range. At this size the maximum permissible error is ±11 µm and the variation in length is 7 µm; a ratchet stop keeps the measuring force constant.
