The Palmer Wahl TC873 is a Type K thermocouple surface probe with a long-reach 6 in handle ending in a 90° metal/ceramic head. Flexible bands in the head conform to rolls, curved surfaces, platens and moulds. The head is 1/2 in high and 1/2 in in diameter and needs 2.5 in of clearance; response is 2 seconds on a clean hot plate.
