Thermapen Classic strong penetration probe thermometer offers the same advantages as the Thermapen Classic thermometer, but with a general purpose strong temperature probe rather than the reduced tip. It is suitable for insertion into solids as well as liquids. Thermapen® Classic penetration probe thermometer has a large digital display and a precise read-out range of -49.9 to 299.9 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution. If necessary, a switch in the battery compartment can be used to reduce the resolution to 1 °C. The thermometer will shut down automatically after ten minutes to conserve battery life. If not needed, this feature can be turned off. When applicable, both a low battery (icon) and an open circuit indication are displayed.
