The Thermapen Classic thermometer has a large digital display that provides a precise temperature reading from -49.9 to 299.9 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution and an accuracy of 0.4 °C. The thermometer will shut down automatically after ten minutes to conserve battery life. Thermapen Classic can be fully customised using switches in the battery compartment. The washable casing contains a 'Biomaster' additive that inhibits bacterial growth, and the ergonomic rubber seal reduces the risk of water, dust, or food ingress. A product's true temperature can be tested in three seconds and is splash proof. When applicable, both a low battery (icon) and an open circuit indication are displayed.
