A 6GHz maximum frequency RF signal generator with a modest price tag is the TGR6000. It saves the expenditures involved with adding modulations and is designed for CW (carrier wave) applications where modulation is not required. Low spurii, low leakage, and low residual FM all go hand in hand with low phase noise. For greater accuracy, an external frequency reference can be utilised; the internal timebase offers a 1ppm stability.
