Brannan's 10/946/0 reads specific gravity between 1.20 and 1.30 on the 60/60 °F scale and is part of the general purpose M100 series. Because its scale sits at 1.20–1.30, the 10/946/0 is aimed at liquids denser than water, comparing their relative density with water. The 10/946/0 is 250 mm long, divided in 0.002 SG steps over a 0.100 SG span, and adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C). The 10/946/0 design is comparable to the hydrometers in ISO 650 and the withdrawn 1960 issue of British Standard 718.
