The Mitutoyo 323-251-30 Digimatic coolant-proof disc digital micrometer is made to measure spur and helical gear root tangent lengths with an accuracy of +/- 0.004mm. The Mitutoyo disc micrometer measures the lengths of spur and helical gears using flat discs made of hardened steel in our Japanese facilities. The discs' thinness and flatness enable reliable measurements in confined locations. A ratchet-stop mechanism reduces over-speed error and helps provide consistent pressure to a workpiece for accurate, repeatable measurements. An easy-to-read LCD readout shows the measurements.
