The Mitutoyo Black Granite Surface plates are made of natural fine-grain granite that has been seasoned for thousands of years and are free of burrs, protrusions, corrosion, and wrinkling, making them suitable for precision measuring platforms. Granite plates are twice as durable as cast iron plates, have better flatness, are non-magnetic, and have a longer service life, resulting in lower maintenance costs and improved accuracy. Stands and accessories made of steel are also available.
