The SV 33B Sound Calibrator is a class 1 sound calibrator that generates an acoustic pressure of 114 dB at frequency of 1 kHz as a reference level. Class 1 and Class 2 sound level meters and dosimeters with 1/2′′ microphones can be calibrated using the SV 33B. The SV 33B employs pressure and temperature sensors to evaluate atmospheric conditions, an integrated reference piezoresistive sensor to monitor produced level, and a microprocessor system to manage the calibration process. Digitally generated sine waves with a 1 kHz frequency are fed to the speakers. The level of the signal being created at the moment in a feedback loop is indicated by a sampled signal from the reference piezoresistive sensor.
