One manual polarimeter that stands out for its ease of use and ergonomic design is the KERN OAB 10LN. The most effective light source for producing a linear, polarized beam of light is the strong 589 nm sodium vapour lamp. The Nonius (0.05°) scale division of 1° allows for an accurate determination of the substance's rotational angle to be seen. Two glass cuvettes (100 mm/200 mm) are supplied with the delivery to contain liquid samples. Delivery includes a sodium vapour lamp, two glass cuvettes measuring 100 and 200 mm each, replacement lenses, and cuvette sealing rings.
