The Mitutoyo digital disc micrometre measures spur and helical gear lengths with flat discs and a non-rotating spindle built in our own Japanese plant. The discs' flatness and thinness enable for accurate measurements in small spaces. The non-rotating spindle decreases torque on the items being measured while also preventing distortion and wear on the workpiece. For exact, repeatable measurements, a ratchet-stop mechanism applies homogeneous pressure to a workpiece. The results are shown on a large, easy-to-read LCD display.
